Taylor D. Plaza, who resides in Brooklyn, New York, is the CEO and Founder of Djour House. Taylor works as a Special Education Teacher for the New York City Department of Education. Her experience in schools coupled with her passion for education and the arts lead Taylor D. Plaza to build Djour House. Her philosophy, which is the mission and vision of Djour House is that every child has the ability to learn with the partnership of the childs' community, family, and appropriate resources. This will lead to the child growing into a successful citizen. Her passion of the arts came from growing up in a house full of music! Through this love of music, Taylor learned to play 8 instruments. Her first children's book is an education music book entitled "Lines, Spaces and Smiley Faces." This book teaches children through song the foundations of music theory. Taylor is also the founder of Djour Academy of the Arts, where education and the arts live. Amongst her many accomplishments, Taylor is a daughter, sister and friend!
